How Should I Name My Files to Sort Properly?

Do you sometimes have trouble with sorting the images in your gallery properly?

For example if you have files named:
a.jpg b.jpg c.jpg d.jpg and 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg and 10.jpg 11.jpg 12.jpg 13.jpg 14.jpg and 21.jpg 31.jpg 41.jpg

Then sorting by File name (asc) will result in this order:
1.jpg 10.jpg 11.jpg 12.jpg 13.jpg 14.jpg 2.jpg 21.jpg 3.jpg 31.jpg 4.jpg 41.jpg a.jpg b.jpg c.jpg d.jpg

Naming your files with at least a 3 digit suffix should do the trick!

So, rather than using the numeric suffix as simply -1, -2, -3.... -10, -11, -12.... etc..
Try using -001, -002, -003... -010, -011, -012.. etc

i.e.

Rather than:
Wedding_Smith-1.JPG
Wedding_Smith-10.JPG

Use:
Wedding_Smith-001.JPG
Wedding_Smith-010.JPG

This would allow you up to 999 images associated with the gallery name "Wedding_Smith".

NOTE: If you imagine needing more that this you could take the naming suffix to 4 figures -0001.JPG
