A quick FAQ outlining the method by which your customers are charged for shipping.
Note that if you allow your customers to pick up an order from you, then the shipping costs ARE NOT passed on your customer. You can remove this option by ensuring the "Allow Customer Pickup" option is set to No on your Settings / Direct Fulfillment Settings page.
Direct Fulfillment Shipping Charges
Essentially you charge the customer for shipping when they place an order on your site and this charge is incorporated as part of the order total that arrives in your PayPal account.
PhotoMerchant then charges your credit card for that same shipping amount.
So the shipping costs are passed along to your customer through the initial transaction.
Delivery of Australian Direct Fulfillment orders when no-one is home
Please note that in the event that no-one is home to receive an order, Toll Priority are authorised to leave the delivery at the residence. This ensures that your customer is not left having to coordinate a redelivery. Please be assured that in the very rare case that any product is weather damaged as a result of being left at the door, we will be very happy to arrange reprocessing of the order.
Self Fulfillment Shipping (No charge from PhotoMerchant)
If you are using Self Fulfillment, then the shipping (and print) charges displayed in your orders are actually the wholesale fees that you create on your Business / Self Fulfillment Products page. These will generally be the wholesale shipping and print charges that you pay to your chosen courier and print lab.
Please note that PhotoMerchant Does Not actually charge you print or shipping fees when using Self Fulfillment! The system simply tracks the costs for you.
