My Digital Downloads products don't appear in my shopping cart

Occasionally when setting up Digital Download products you may find that some (or even all) of your digital products fail to appear in your shopping cart for a given image.
For the most part this will be due to the fact that the resolution of the image file you originally uploaded is not large enough to support the resolution of the digital products you have added to the feature set.

Let's have a quick look at the best way to confirm / deny this theory and how to work around it..

So, in your Admin Interface..

1. Click on the Photos tab and then select the relevant gallery.
2. Click on the image you'd like to check up on.
3. Click on the Properties tab under the image preview.
4. Now take note of the Resolution properties for this image file!

In this case, the dimensions of the uploaded image are 1846 x 2041 pixels.
By multiplying these two figures together we come to a resolution of 3,767,686 Px ..or about 3.77 MPx

This means that this master image file can be used to produce Digital Download products of up to 3.77MPx
However, if you add a larger Digital Download product to your feature set, then that product won't be displayed in your shopping cart.

To resolve this problem you can reduce the size of the Digital Download products in your feature set so that they fall below the 3.77MPx threshold.
..or you can upload a higher resolution master image file that accommodates the resolution of the digital produts you want to offer.
