There are two ways in which orders can be processed: Self Fulfillment and Direct Fulfillment.
Self Fulfillment is a manual process and requires the photographer to arrange the ordering of prints from their local print lab and then have it shipped to the customer. PhotoMerchant takes care of processing the order, tracking the order process and feeding the financial information into the sales reports. Self Fulfillment is perfect for photographers who already enjoy a great relationship with their existing print lab, for photographers who process their own prints or want to offer unique product offerings that are not supplied by Direct Fulfillment.
Direct Fulfillment is an automated process whereby orders are printed and shipped directly to the customer or photographer. When an order's payment has been confirmed, the photographer will have an opportunity to approve the order and make any final changes before it is sent electronically to the printers.
