In this lesson we'll show you how to ensure a sender is added to your Safe List so that you receive your PhotoMerchant newsletters without having them slip through to your Spam or Junk folder.
Here we go -
If you are using a web hosted mail account you should be able to manually mark a sender as safe.
Here's an example using a Hotmail account -
1. From the Junk or Spam folder within your email client or Web mail account -
2. Select any message from PhotoMerchant.
3. You should now be able to find a Not Junk button. The actual naming of the button
will vary depending on your Web Mail Host. Other examples could be Add to Safe list or Mark as Safe.
OR
4. You may also be able to right-click (Windows) or control-click (Mac) on the message title itself and choose to mark this item as Safe or Not Junk. This should ensure that future messages from the same sender are not automatically relegated to your Junk folder.
Note - different web mail hosts will obviously have different interfaces but you should have access to similar functionality. If you are not able to find and Add to Safe option within your interface then try adding the sender to your Address Book.
If you are using a locally installed mail client you can acheive the same outcome by adding the sender to your Address Book.
Here's an example using the Mac Mail client -
1. From your Spam folder - click the drop box arrow to the right of the senders email address.
2. In the drop box that appears - click on the Add to Address Book option.
This should ensure that this email address is in future recognised as a safe contact and these emails will appear in your Inbox rather than the Spam folder.
Note - the same result can be achieved using Microsoft Outlook or any other installed mail client by adding the sender to your list of contacts.
